Quite an old idea, several incarnations of this go back to aincient Palm devices. Eventually somebody might get it optimised enough so that it works well enough to be accepted and widely used.

WinMo has already enjoyed Swype for quite a few months.

I tried it on my Xperia, and found it to be so much more superior to any software keyboard available. The only issue is that the graphics looks like something out of win95 sometimes, and when the word you input isn't in the database you have to use it like a normal keyboard. :S

Unregistered: Yes, but the word will be added to the dictionary as well, so you only have to do this the first time.

can you please change the annoying voice in the beginning of your videos? I associate it with really crappy movies.

kthnx

Swype works incredibly well on the Android platform as well! Nice feature is that you can easily switch between Swype and other input mechanisms by long-pressing the text input area. This is one of those apps that will stay on my phone forever 😃
