My colleague has just bought a 5530 after seeing my 5800 but cant get apps for it especially BBC iPlayer

You think I didn't do that already? Why do you think I posted the question on a specialist board.
But Thanks

Sorry, Nitro. I saw you had no punctuation and the question was a bit short so I figured that, no, you hadn't spent time looking at the google results. Apologies if you had. No offence intended. I thought the (google page1) thread with links to 5530-compatible versions of iplayer looked helpful..

You should maybe point your colleague to the ovi store. They can select 5530 and they'll see a page or two of apps, or just select 5800 and most of them'll work fine (according to google). Apologies if you've already done this!😊

Can't comment specifically on the 5530, but I've got a bunch of 5800 apps on my 5230. Most apps written for the 5800 or N97 will likely run on the 5230 and 5530 - they're all the same core OS, same processors, etc. Just slight functional differences in the presentation layer/UI.
