Firmware upgrade dangerous?

i was told the same thing but i was like go ahead and do it. i had it in warrenty as well but since i dropped a lotta times they say they wont take responsibility. take the risk i guess no problems should come .

I don't think this is possible. Can any of the specialists comment on this?

Anyway I had mine upgraded to 4.39 without a problem. Under warranty though, But no warning from NSC.
