I need to free up memory so I am looking for applications to delete or delete then reinstall on memory card. Settings|Applicantion mgr|Installed Apps shows I have Nokia Maps (v3.03(246)) conusming 9MB on phone memory and it shows Ovi Maps (v3.03(246)) consuming 7MB on phone memory. I like the Maps applicaiton but I do not know if it requires both. apps to run. Also is it possible to move one or both to the memory card?:con?

Not sure about why both nokia maps and ovi maps are listed, or if deleting nokia maps would break ovi maps. My hunch is that the update to ovi maps requires the nokia maps files to be present. Just a hunch though. It'd sure be interesting if someone would delete their nokia maps to see if ovi maps still works. I wouldn't want to be the first to try it though!
i have this same thing on my n97, nokia maps using 7MB and ovi maps using 9MB. i just recently updated to 3.04, but i cant imagine that nokia wouldnt have just updated rather than adding another app version of maps. the installer asked me if i would like to "replace previous version?"
