i just need to know if formating the device thru ctrl-shift-f will erase my notes, calendar and contacts?
Does formatting erase Contacts/Calendar?
Short anwer, Yes.
If you want to back them up, the default files reside in the Communicator\System\Data directory.
If you syc. with your PC, be careful not to sync. with an empty calendar or contact file or you might end up deleting the entries on the PC as well. To avoid this just delete and recreate the sync. task in PC Suite and have either the PC or Nokia file empty. That way you don't get duplicates.
