Hi,
First post
I have just updated my E90 using V300.34.84 from previous V 07.40.1.2
After re-installing ALL my data (from back up) - I have lost my connection to EVERYTHING - SMS. mobile internet. phone - everything
I am assuming that my SIM has become blocked (does it think that I have put it in a new phone or something ?)
My signal strength is still showing as strong as is my suppliers LOGO !!!
I have a puk code from my supplier (8 digit) - does this go in PUK1 or PUK2 ?
What is the next thing to do ?
Is there any way of restoring the older Firmware ?
E90 Update Problems
Why not just try PUK 1 ?
BTW : do you use a branded/locked phone ? As the newest firmware for a not-branded Nokia E90 is v 400.xxxx . Howevere I'm still using v 300 . It is stable and reliable .

unbranded
I have a "PUK CODE" - from my phone company
Is this PIN 1 or PIN 2 ?
I have tried Pin 1 and this doesn't work - and Pin 2 is a 4 digit code
The SIM card works when used in my old phone
So - this is not the problem
The problem must be the firmware upgrade
It looks like there is a confusion about PIN , PUK and Securitycode . PIN is the user code to make the SIM card connect to the network . PUK is used when the SIM card is blocked .
It seems like there is nothing wrong with the Network connection , since you can see the connectionbar (top left) and even your networkprovider's name !
So I suppose you are talking about the Security code ?
After a Firmwareupdate , most of the time , the securitycode is reset to the default Nokia code : 12345 . Try that one .
I am still wondering , how you are be able to download v300 , when v400 is available for non-branded E90 for ages allready ?

When I run the updater - it only gives me V300
I am in the UK - Don't know if that affects matters ?
When you say "unbranded" - I own the phone - so I am guessing that mine is "unbranded" ?
How / Where do I input the security code ?

I updated my firmware before 2 weeks and the latest firmware was version 3.00. In the middle east and may be version 4.00 is not for my region.
Hi Twee . Sorry for the late response . I think reading your posts once more , the issue is not about codes . There might be some software corruption from the old software used . Anyway , there is no legal way to get the old software back again .
As a lot of heavy users do a Hard Reset after a firmware-update , I would suggest the same . A backup of personal data is needed .
See my post about reset here :

Edit : Nokia default securitycode : 12345
