How can one start it but from memory card?

Where did you get doom for the 3650??
Doom was created for the Series60 phone, just not compatible asyet for the Nokia 3650, Hopefully Wildpalm provides another upgrade..
i have installed doom on my 3650! you have to install it to the phone and not memory card
I can start my from MMC, you have to use a patch, here it is.

But for me the game sucks, if they made displaying horizontaly, maybe it would be good, for me Puzzle Bubble is a far better game.

How do you make the screen horizontal? I look'd in settings in the wildpalm menu, and in options in the doom menu, couldn't figure out how to do it... And my DOOM doesn't have sound, is it because i have an old version?
the horizontal option is in the options menu before you actually run doom isn't it?
no sound = because u didn't install sound files; you don't have terraforce/stackup (other programs by wildpalm with driver required) or because of incompatability issues with 3650 apparently.
yes the horisontal is there, in version 1.2, i had 1.1, that's why i couldn't find it.
And the sound didn't work because i hadn't terraforce install'd, but i install'd it, and then i could only play for 30 seconds, and it would quit the game... So i uninstall'd terraforce, and it works again, but without sound.
got my 3650 the other day. found dooom. installed it to find that it said data files missing. so i then found this news group, d-loaded that patch and it works perfectly 😃 no terra...ting business. just the doom files and that patch all on the mmc.
whoever made the patch is a genius 😃 well done!!!!
Ps. Anyone know of anywhere good that u can actually d-load "quality" games?
No matter what I try, I have never been able to play doom on my 3650 😞
It always says not enough memory - even straight after a reboot 😞
I've now got it on the MMC and the MMC patch appears to have worked - I think I've got the sound driver loaded and working too.
But still it says not enough memory 😞
The most free ram I can manage straight after a reboot is about 1.8mb but I understand I need 2mb, I have no other applications running, do you think it's my 1.34 firmware is a bit ram hungry when running?
Any ideas?

I could get a maximum of 2440 kb of RAM and it still says not enough memory! I'd restart and restart, compress ram, and close everything, and restart, but still!! :evil:

I used to run doom on my 7650!
But not my 3650 😞
I tried removing the backround picture and oplogo too so that the 'phone' application took less RAM - still no joy 😞
I can't get Opera to run either - say not enough free ram too 😞
Oh well, I was hoping it was just a firmware thing but I guess not if your on 2.50.

is there actauly a way of checking which appz are "running" like there is on a windows pc ie by doing ctrl alt del

Hold the Menu button, you'll get a drop down list, highlight any and press "c" to close it, or you can just open it like it is.
I am quite sure it is not the ram which is missing. I have 2800kb and still it doesn't work. At first it worked for one day and after that... it works for 30 seconds and quits. Without voice it is ok... I can not remember what I did to my phone on the day when it stopped running doom properly.

I am using sLauncher - when you press and hold the menu key it shows you your free ram - and lets you close all running apps and clear/compress your free memory.

and also jus to clear this up the ram... is tht the 3.4mb onboard the phone we call ram ?
Hi... Downloaded all de Doom v 1.2 files and installed them in the appropriate order and the the patch in the MMC.
Then ( when having started the game) I get an error message saying:
W_GetNumforName: E1M1
not found! Console closed
press any key_

You can see what apps are running. Just hold down the menu key for a couple of seconds and hey presto!
Just hold down your menu button and keep it held to display an "Alt + Tab" style window with all the apps you have running
In reply to the person who wanted some quality games - I currently have about 70 games that work with the 3650 and 7650 - I am currently looking into publishing them on the net - e-mail me for details

Go to google and search for a application for your phone called handy file, you can get it for free for 30 days but im sure theres a way to carry on using it for free. This application is like windows explorer for your phone and you can junk to delete that you wouldn't usually be able to find on your phone, you can also get access into your memory card. This makes freeing up space for games like doom a hell of a lot simpler. I would recommend using the patch thats provided on this forum to run it off the memory card, cause I have ran it off my phone and it uses up all of the spare memory I had meaning you couldn't do anything else with it.
does anyone know if there are going to be any more doom levels released. Theres tons of levels which could be converted and now that we can play doom off the memory cards it would be class.

works with sound perfectly...so long as you use the quick reset option when u first load doom. mine seems to crash or run out of memory if u dont do this.
whens the deathmatch option coming into play thats what i want to know.......??? 😃
Does the save game function work on a 3650? I can't figure out how to get it to work. oh and how do you change weapons?...
