sorry about thais guys, i know its been asked before but the solution did not work for me..... :-?

has anyone actually solved the problem of sending a file from the phone to the computer via bluetooth?..... the "Sending Failed" problem.

i really need a solution....i cant send my amr, 3gp, mp4...etc files from the phone. it works phone <> phone vie BT.

please....bestow on me the vast knowledge of this forum. 😃

I gave up trying with mine.
Thou I found a better solution anyways.
Use PcFilemamager from EpochWare.

You can download / upload all your files to and from your phone without even having to get it out of your pocket.

Much better solution 😉

Best 😊

Will.

Go to Start, Run. A box will pop up, in here type " regedit " (without quotes)

Registry will open. This is kinda like browsing files in windoze explorer.

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\[BT Manufacturer]\BTConfig\Services\004

NOTE - Where I have written [BT Manufacturer] will actually be replaced with the name of the maker of your dongle. Sometimes the name is a bit misleading, but if just open different ones up you will find "BTConfig" inside. This is the one.

In this Key Folder you will find a Key called " AcceptOther ". I am guessing it is set to " 0x0000000 ", or in English - OFF

Double click on the "AcceptOther" Key and a window will popup. A box in this will have a value of 0 in it. Change this to 1 and click OK.

Now you need to do exactly the same thing, but in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER . The structure will be exactly the same.

I CAN NOT EXCEPT CREDIT FOR THIS STATEMENT, BUT IT TOTALLY WORKS IT SOLVED MY ISSUE WITH SENDING FILES FROM PHONE TO MY PC. CREDIT GOES TO A 'Aaryn' I THINK, HE WROTE THE EXPLANTION I PASTED IN ABOVE.

Yeah - I read that that normally works - never worked for me thou 😞
I assumed bazanime also had tried this too when he said he had tried the solution and it not worked for him also,

Anyways PcFilemanager is a much better solution 😉

no need to select the files on to phone and send them - just do it all from the PC.

Best 😊

Work for most USB devices using the Widcomm stack.

Widcomm 1.3.2.7

Support for wireless headset....no need for registry tweeking.

Mine works perfectly. I use 3com USB BT.

All I have to do is turn on BT on phone and run 3com BT on PC. Note Mrouter not running.

After this I can use any program on phone that can send via BT to send files to pc.

What exactly is the error you get when sending from phone?

Yeah - 3com is about the only one that works 'out the box' as it uses it's own stack and not the widcomm one.

We have a 3com USB dongle at work and had it up and running within 3 mins and never had a single problem with it.

My Belkin Pcmcia Card on my laptop on the other hand (which uses widcomm stack) I have never managed to get working where I can send files FROM the phone, done the registry tweek and played with the drivers, no luck.

Advice to anyone - get the 3com device 😉

Yes, but it's expensive +/- US$120. I had no choice though. It was the only one available in South Africa
