Hi.
I purchased a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter from amazon...it doesnt really have a brand.
When I plug in the adapter partly into the the 2.5mm port, i get stereo sound, but it only works when it's plugged in partly and at a particular angle to the port.
Are there any adapters that give stereo sound when plugged in all the way?
Are there any 2.5mm headphones that give me stereo sound when plugged in all the way and give reasonably good sound/good quality/comfort
My main concern is that when I put the E71 in my pocket the motion of my legs moves the adapter and I get mono sound and sometimes no sound...

Yes, I have a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adaptor that I got several years ago for my Palm Treo. It doesn't have a brand on it, though.
And yes, it works fine. Except that the other day I had the opposite problem from yours - I was listening to music on my E71 and realized that I only heard the music (in stereo) and no vocals. So I checked and it wasn't plugged in all the way.
I'm sorry your buy from Amazon doesn't work, but rest assured that there are adaptors out there that work well.

PS Mine is an L shaped one, not the kind with a mini cord.
Oh i have the one with the cable...I saw some 2.5MM headphones but im not sure if they are going to give me stereo sound
