hi,

I am posting here because i have quite a few problems with my nokia 5800:

1. ovi maps gps reponse time has gone way down...5 sec to 10min....
2. whenever i put in usb and remove it, the phone would reboot the memory card again..
3. the speed of the nokia 5800 is not as fast as when i first brought it. applications folder takes a while to load now (possibly due to me installing afew, 5-10?, applications).

the above 3 seem to be the main problems right now.

the only solution to this is for me to literally format and restore the 5800....but i don't know the first step to doin it.

i have read plenty of threads but don't know a safe way to start.

When i first purchased this phone, it was preloaded with music, ringtone, pictures, videos and other stuff. I don't want them to be deleted when i format the memory card or c:

So basically i really want the phone back to the original state...

can someone please post here the steps? I would really really apprieciate the help...

thanks to anyone in advance

You can do a soft-reset by typing: *#7370*
Or a hard-reset: press and hold green, red, white button when powering off (code is then 12345).

Or go to a Nokia care points.
