Okay,
First off, i am from the UK, dont know, i think you lot are from the USA... i own a 6310 now, and the P800 costs 250 in the shops.. and its very expensive  i found one online, at 120 with thw 30 tariff... but i dont trust online orders, last time, i ordered a 6210 online for 50.. didnt come, but i got money back and had to go to the shops to buy one for 100. here is the website, with Orange Tariff at the bottom Click Here

Okay, few questions, i have never owned a PDA or MMS phone or anything so here it goes:
1. Talktime:
6 hrs
Standby:
160 hrs
Thats what it says on that site, but on the Sony site, it says more then that?
2. How is the Video playback, can you download videos or what?
3. Also, the memory stick, is it like the one in Sony Vaios and etc.. and Sony cameras?
4. Is there a better phone, better worth buying?
I'm also in the UK - I think a few of the forum members are.

Last year I bought an Ipaq - I paid about 550 for it - thought it was going to change my life - it didn't - it was a bind to use and I got fed up of carrying it around. You had to use infra-red and a phone to browse the web; it was too big etc.

The P800 does all that I used the Ipaq for and more besides. I have the whole of my oultook addressbook in there. I've always got a camera with me now. I can check my emails wherever I am, day or night. I can browse t'internet wherever I am in a usable way. I can listen to MP3 files if I want to and I can expand the memory. In short it's absolutely brill.

In answer to your questions:-
1. I think I've seen people post that they get about 2 days use before recharging is needed. If you get into a routine with this it isn't an issue
2. Not tried video playback properly - just the demo one on the system - that looks good.
3. The memory stick is smaller than the vaio ones but comes with an adapter so you can use it in vaio's etc
4. No.

All the best

Mark

Certainly is!! 😃

But check the forums here or on www.semuser.com as I'm sure I've seen a site quoted as selling it for 50 on Orange Your Plan 400... 😮

As an insider, I got it on this for 39 - but you have to work for the sods, and you wouldn't want to do that, believe me!

Hi I am too from the UK and own a p800

I ordered mine online from www.mobileshop.co.uk, I paid 49.99 on the orange talk 400 tariff. Which for me is a decent deal for a great phone.

I too ditched my ipaq in favor of a smart phone last year but I orginally went for the 7650, which is a nice phone but it never really did enough for me. So I got a p800 3 weeks ago and its great.

I listen to mp3s on my way to work on a morning with it, the caleneder functions and stuff are very useful.

But one thing I have been doing is playing with the video and imho its pretty good for what it does. Your not gonna be able to watch a full movie on there, but for music videos etc its pretty good.

I hope this helps make your mind up to buy the best phone I have certainly owned.

Hi

I am also from the UK and have been using the P800 since January...I used to use all manner of devices - Pocket PC/Palm/7650 etc...Since picking up the P800, I have not needed to use these other units!

Great phone...Cheers!
