My son has just bought an X6 16GB and wondered if there is an application that will allow sms's to appear in a thread/conversation (like they do on an iphone).

As I am using older phones , I am not certain about X6 ..
In messaging I make new folders in "My Folders" , for each appropriate contact . Anyway I don't like to hang all of them around in "Inbox" . So the manual work to move them to My Folders > eg Dad , Paul , Tina etc is as easy as just move them to My Folders .

the conversation option is available on Nokia Beta Labs... but it didnt play to well on some phones Ive had.. Its a S60 3rd app tho...
You could try it out for nothing tho.. or just use free iSMS
You could try SMS Diary.
It also lets you save your messages into one big HTML file, which I find is a handy way of archiving them all.
