I don't know if this is old news - but I only just found it yesterday..

Sports Tracker released seemingly independent of Nokia through the Ovi store. It's pretty similar to the old one if you used that (and if you have the old one installed then it'll import all your current data) but this one is actually in development still!
Main differences I've noticed - the map part of it is much better, it incorporates the old 'Step Counter' app to an extent with pedometer options for each workout type, it has temporarily lost any online/account functions but it says this will be coming soon.

I know a lot of people used this on N95s etc and it's by far one of the best applications ever made for Nokia so just thought I'd share in case people have missed it in the store.

Works really great. We've only been waiting, what, about a year for that. But it was worth the wait.

I prefer the old one, which works really well with the N97.
The new version doesn't upload/share anything yet.

Has anyone got the "Sunrise" and "Sunset" times to show on Sports Tracker v3.01(0) (S60 5.0) from Ovi Store?

Although I have a spot on GPS signal, all I receive for this feature is "Refreshing location for sunset/sunrise calculations".

Fleksnes - there's a bluetooth heart rate monitor made by a company called Polar specifically for Nokia that works with Sports Tracker, I have no idea where you can buy one from or how much it is though!

ironass - it works perfectly for me, as soon as I open the application it's counting down til sunset and the times seem pretty accurate to me.

OK.

Thanks.

Will give it another go then, but if I end up in the woods all by myself and it's dark... I'm blaming you! 😊

You can't get this belt anywhere. It was planned for the N79 Active (which never came out). If you ask Polar they tell you to contact Nokia, if you ask Nokia they tell you to contact Polar. There is a german company called Mobimotion who makes a BT heart rate chest belt, but AFAIK this doesn't work with the new 3.x Sports Tracker.

Ah fair enough - seems strange that they still include the feature then!

I tried the new Sports Tracker properly for the first time yesterday (running alongside the old one). I love the improvement to the map view and the proper step counter. It did fail to get a lock for 3 minutes though (with good 3g signal and all positioning methods turned on) but then as soon as I launched the old one alongside it they both got instant lock. Bit weird, will do some more testing when I get chance!
