Using bluetooth connection for dial-up connection thru p800?

I have my bluetooth connection set up so I can browse files/sync with my p800 from my laptop. Can I also use bluetooth to use my phone as a modem? How do I set this up...the dial up wizard only recognizes IR or cable connections.

This answer depends on the hardware and OS you are using but when you setup a bluetooth card depending on the software it should creat a bluetooth modem interface. This acts basicly as a modem and will be listed in modems in control panel under windows OS.

If it is not listed there than you can not and will not be given the option to set it up for a dial out.

Once this is there you can select to dail up to use it insted of your standard/or built in modem. You should check info about your bluetooth device and find a modem driver for it for your OS.

If you have GPRS setup and working on your phone then you could use this instead of dail up again this is driver based on your PC rather then settings on your P800.

If you list your specific hardware/software you may find someone has the same setup and is working and could share there info with you.

I have a similar issue...The phone connects fine through bluetooth and the modem is set up correctly, but when I try to connect I get the message that the phone is busy or not configured correctly...have tried changing to modem in the phone's control panel - no difference...

Any ideas?

Cheers
