What's the latest firmware?

After sending my phone (0585162) off to have the GPS and Camera lense sorted it has come back with:- 21.0.102.209.07 (24-02-2010) but the Nokia site still only shows 20.0.019 as being available which they reverted back to from 21.0.045 a little while ago!

Anyone know why they reverted back?

I'm on 21.0.102.209.07 Got mine back from repair (sent it off to Nokia) about a week ago. Product code 0587240 (got it on an Orange contract from Phones4u, but it came unlocked 😃).

How odd that the two handsets that were updated by Nokia Care Centres, but not shown as having updates in the on-line Nokia checker, are both UK Country Variants.

It would therefore seem that the only sure fire way to know what is the latest firmware for your phone and that is to take it to a NCC.

It also begs the question as to why these updates are not available OTA or via Nokia Software Updater as they are both v21 with minor country tweaks.

Quite true kontraband, as I'm given to understand that Country Variants are there to comply with local telecommunications laws and restrictions (i.e. wifi removal, FM transmitting, VOIP calling, etc).

Plus the fact that firmware for Continent models, such as Euro generic, are released first.
