OpenTable for Nokia, an application which lets you book a restaurant table from you phone, is now available to download from Ovi Store. OpenTable is a well established online restaurant booking service; its covers more than 13,000 restaurants in the US, UK, Canada and Mexico. The key advantage of the service, and the application, is that it provides a complete 'end-to-end' service allowing you to browse restaurants, making a booking and receive a confirmation. This saves significant time and effort over the traditional method of telephone booking.

It's been possible to book restaurant tables from your phone since the 1920s FFS.
I really like this service of phone that you can book the table from your mobile and can easily get the table over there. So basically at the time of week ends all the restaurants are full with the rush and can't get even single table. So for the convenient this will be great for them also.
Coverage in East Anglia is limited, but surprisingly there are some restaurants available. The wife and I are off to London for a few days soon, so I'll be sure to try it out properly then.
Looking forward to it!

This thing lists all the restaurants around you. It shows you the phone numbers, addresses, websites, pictures of the places, the menus, available seatings, etc..if you can't see the advantage of that, then I feel sorry for you. People like you think they're smarter than everyone else by making such comment. It doesnt, it just makes them a**holes.
Can somebody tell them that they can host the widget on their site and then users of other supported S60 devices can use it too? They don't need to be slaves to an app store.
I'd be interested to know, if they get any spam reservations? Not for eating spam, but ... you know.

Yes, and when I use Opentable I can see all the member restaurants in the area, which ones have availability within a 2 hour window, and link to reviews. I use it all the time. It's particularly good if I'm out of town and have no idea what is around.
