Hi all,
I'm going to be selling my N82 and I want to clear all my user data out of the phone, but I want to keep the firmware and the basic programs that came with the phone. Should I be doing a hard reset or a soft reset? I read a few different options in a thread about the N81, will all these steps work on the N82?
Here's the thread I'm referring to: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/80320/
Thanks for all your help!
Do a hard reset or even better a Vulcan Death Grip . See my post here :

Default Nokia securitty code : 12345
Format memorycard : Menu > ... > Memorycard > Options > Format .
Now your phone is shop clean .
Good luck selling !

The firmware or ROM wouldn't change by hard reset .
To avoid future problems , inform the new owner . So he will be a happy user , as otherwise there could be confusion because of the difference between the actual firmware productcode and the productcode on the label underneath the battery .
