PC Suite vs. Ovi Suite

Is anyone apart from me still using good old Nokia PC suite?

I installed Ovi Suite once, and I hated all the tacky, cartoon-like boxes and windows, so reinstalled PC Suite again. It does everything apart from Ovi Music, which is crap anyway. To me Ovi Suite looks tacky and bloated, whereas PC Suite is minimal and functional.

Would any Ovi Suite lovers like to explain why I should move over to Ovi Suite? 😊

jamessmith, coudlnt agree with you more. the older version just worked, the new version in clunky and slow... i have tried to uninstall and get the older version back which has worked, to a degree... whatever happened to keeping it simple?? :con?:icon13:

I use PC Suite all the time. Ovi Suite just doesn't cut the mustard. It doesn't handle file synchronisation or SMS printing and it remains an overblown and RAM hungry mess. I can find absolutely no reason to move away from it until Ovi can handle these features.

I am more comfortable with PC suite. PC suite just seems right for me and it makes my PC to phone processes easier. It has a good interface and a very responsive message receiver and transmitter. I know there is an option wherein you can just make your cellphone like a USB stick but I would rather choose the phone to be used as it is with PC suite because while I'm transferring my files, I could make use of my cellphone at the same time. PC suite just wins the gold for me.

Personally I also prefer PC Suite to Ovi Suite.

Why should you move over to Ovi Suite? Pretty soon Nokia will most likely stop developing and supporting PC Suite, then you won't have a choice.
Until this happens though, stay with PC Suite if that's what you like best. 😉

the firmware updater doesn't seem to be working for me in pc suite. might just be my machine but the ovi suite does work for me. also like the contacts manager better in ovi
