Why can't I download podcasts directly?

Any help on this score would be appreciated.....

I am a keen user of the BBC library of downloadable podcasts of radio shows. I don't subscribe to them, it is simply a case of 'right click' and 'save as' for the mp3 file in each case. The 5800 doesn't seem to permit this whether through the system browser or Opera. The phone simply reports that it is "unable to connect" and suggests that I "review my network settings" or reports an error with a suggestion that I try again. This happens whether I use a WAP or wireless connection.

Any ideas on a cause and / or a solution?

What you can do is search for the RSS feed and then save the web feed so that you can download the podcasts. If you just google the for the RSS feed you should be able to find them. Then you can refresh the feed and you can just click on the podcast and chose to download it
