A firmware update to the Nokia 5530 is now available. Going from v20 to v30 includes some additional applications, performance improvements, and most significantly, universal kinetic scrolling and S60's latest version of Web. Full details below.

any word on a bluetooth fix in this update. my bh 503 works fine when playing music but on calls it looses the bluetooth connection and i must remove the battery to use bluetooth again.
i really hope v30 fixes this.
People dont seem to be interested in this phone. Hardly any comments on how the experience after updating.

Well, it seems like my first comment wasn't posted... The v30 is much better than the previous. It's much faster in all ways, I like the default browser for the first time, love the new music player and of course kinetic scrolling in all menus. All my problems are also solved after this update. It's really a nice update.
I upgraded my phone. It took around 10mn without any problem. Some icons have light modifications. The synchronization application has changed. The Web Browser is faster. By default web pages are displayed in full screen mode with kinetic scrolling. I'm also using Opera mini on the 5530 and it also look faster. So it is a general improvement of the phone.
Once the upgrade completed, I asked for an update on installed applications. A new version of contacts was found and I upgraded. Search for a contact is easier, since all letters are accessible in a unique page to filter the search.
it does play vdos but not in the wmv(windows media video) format... it plays in the 3gp format that is the format of Nokia.
is this available in uk yet.i tried to update but got np update available. And deffo on a v20.xxxx fw at mo. Cheers
I'm in the United States, and just checked for updates but nothing was available yet.
Last time this phone received new firmware, it took a week or two before it showed up for me.
It shows Album art in albums view now!
yah same concern the net surfing is fastrer now but other icon can't be open faster now i need to chnge my menu view to be albe to open icon fast..plz fix it..
Still no sign for me in UK. Been looking forward to this too. Checking every other day.

I have updated it yesterday, and it's much better... The phone is faster, i like the cosmetics in the music player, the kinnetic scrolling is much faster etc...
I has been almost two months and nothing for 0590825.
And to think I paid extra for an unbranded unlocked phone so I did not have to wait for updates!!!
since updating to the V31 firmware my phone goes off whenever i try to make or recieve a call.. pls help!! i've just about had it with the 5530 n its issues.. i might as well join the masses and get a blackberry.
