BLUE OR WHITE KEYPAD STAYS FOREVER??

24 replies · 4,123 views · Started 22 March 2003

I changed my mobile and the 3650 that i got has white keypad. Is this because of coloured keypad??or fixed internal light??thanks//

Take the front cover off and take a look.

If you have white LED's you can always colour the translucent rubber under the keys with a dry wipe marker, I say dry wipe as when you get bored of that colour just wipe it off and change colour!

My key pad now shines RED - looks different!!

Best 😉

A dry wipe marker pen is a kind of NON permamnent marker pen which can be wiped off almost any smooth surface.
Not sure what you guys call them - but in the UK we call them dry wipe.

They are used when writing on those large white presentation/lecture boards and can be easily wiped off.

Does that make sense??

That way you can color the underside of the rubber keys, and wipe it off to change color.

I do it - no problems..

Best 😊

Ohh them. White board markers!~ U sure they come off cleanly? Sometimes they don't wipe off...

ie. on contact

i'll try though.
jeff.

willbrady, I was wondering if you could post the pic of your phone with the red light....

I want to color it too but I would like to see some sample before I do it.

thanks

nice trick Will (thumbs up! mate) 😊
also thanks for sharing the trick. I have blue backlights, it matched the blue cover... in case I'll change the cover ... I'll give your trick a go 😉

So u can change the colour of the keypad with a blue keypad or only by painting it??Also i wanted to ask how we remove the cover....!!cant do it....thanks.

heyo

well
1. You are meant to colour in the back of the buttons (the clear bit) but I noticed my white board markers wouldn't rub off.. so I stopped.

2. To open cover you push in the top bit at the front (like you'll see BLUE if you have a blue cover, in the middle of a white section).. keep pushing in until it goes under and then pull out. To put it back in put the top in first, and then clip the bottom in.

the move sounds cool but also scary so can anyone put a picture of his phone colored red and another picture of where to color it thanx guys 😮 😮 😮

I'm on Purple this morning 😉

My pens wipe off quite easily with just a tissue.
You can also just color the leds themselves but the color is then VERY faint.

Can someone who has the original Blue keypad remove the covers and tell us the Colour of the hardware lights???..They are white? or blue?...thanks..

i couldn't tell that they were infact blue until i switched on the phone

Here you go - this is the effect you can get if you have white LED's and you color the back of your keypad with a marker pen.

Best 😊

Willbrady,

that's a nice one.

thanks for posting the pic.

btw, where did you get the background? my girlfriend is looking for a background like that.

would it be possible for you to upload it on here so I can download it?

thanks

thank you Willbrady...

to be honest with you, I was asking for the backgrond not the op logo.

I didn't see the op logo but the oplogo is actually nice too.

would it be possible for you to also give me the background?

thanks..

sorry if I ask you too much...

you got PM from me then...
