While I was using the standard calculator app on my 5800 [S60 v5], my screen suddenly turned into orange and green horizontal bars. After about a few seconds the sreen turned red before it complete fell out. I've tried restarting my phone several times, without any effect. Although when you touch the screen the phone reacts by vibrating and making it's bleep, but as far as I can't see what PIN I'm inserting so I can't do a hard reset by dialing *#7370#. On Nokia's faq-page wasn't anything listed due tue the problems I'm dealing with. My phone didn't get wet recently, a few weeks ago I've had a few raindrops on my back-cover, which won't be the cause of failing. Does any of you have an idea how to solve this problem?

Japi NL,
Bedankt gast, after all, I wasn't capable to reset my phone, I've visited a local dealer who told me I was the first one with this problem. Since the holographic on my battery was still visible there wasn't any water damage....
Laterz!
This is an issue that i believe occurred rarely with the early batches of the 5800 but it wasn't as widespread as the earpiece problem. Follow the links in the following link to see more.
