Microsoft’s browser based app framework Silverlight is now available for Symbian S60 5th edition devices. Popping up in the Ovi Store, the .Net framework allows for applications to run in the browser over multiple devices, operating systems and browsers. The easiest way to get Silverlight installed is to head to the Bing example app (http://www.silverlight.net/content/samples/s60/bing/default.htm or bit.ly/aeaJxf). If you need the runtime installed, you’ll be offered just the link, which takes you to the Ovi Store.

Works and I like it. What are examples of sites that use silverlight. Would like to give my browser a whirl.

Silverlight on Symbian is surprisingly good, its just a shame that it only appears to support the Symbian browser, it doesn't work with Opera.

I just cant wait for the full Microsoft Office in Symbian. Do you have any informations about that? Will the next Eseries devices have it? E7? Or its scheduled for the S^4? What about MeeGo support? This will make the Nokia Enterprice solutions simply unbeatable because Microsoft Office is unbeatable in the Enterprice department! But it should be different than other Office suites by miles though!

Cheers!
