Ok, all i wnat to know is whether or not this is normal. The other day i was outside and the temperature was supposed to be about -4 degrees.
If i left my phone outside, the screen would, in a matter of just a couple of minutes, go completely blank and basically just turn into a 'torch'. The phone was fine if turned off and warmed up in your hands for a few moments before being turned back on. The phone also appeared to be working fine in that if you enetered numbers manually etc it would still work, you just couldnt see what you were doing.

It is normal, color screens dont like cold much.
My advice is keep ya 7650 wrapped up.
i thought this would be the case. Luckily i dont do that sort of thing often.
I must say though, its not just my 7650 which caused a problem, my mates phones all seemed to play up too, we had a Motorola V66i which wouldnt stop ringing, a Siemens C35 which would turn on but do nothing else and others all with problems.
I dont want to go out in the cold again now!

My old Nokia 7110 had a blank screen on +4......
and Nokia service told me to keep it warm......
and then I told them what will happen if I go to Finland?
and they answered that they have other screens for their mobiles....
they said that Liquid Crystals from screen are very sensitive even on direct sunlight.....
I still love Nokia phones and waiting for 3650

GPS, i was on Dartmoor in devon - it was very very very cold
i assumed that it was the liquid crystals freezing or something, and it appears that is pretty much it.
Weather may be a factor.....but. i was in Germany with -5 and -6 and my screen didnt go white and stuff...

Normal? I don't think so. I was skiing in the Swiss alps on 3'300 meters. We had -18 degrees there (Celcius, of course 😉 ). And yes, the screen became considerably slower, but nothing like a blank screen or so. Brightness and contrast were almost the same! And my phone wasn't wrapped, I had it naked in an outside pocket of my rucksack.

I live in Finland, and I'm not experiencing any major problems with my displays even in the colder periods of the winter (up to -30 degrees celcius), and as far as I know, our screens don't differ much from other countries' 😊
