can u guys tell me what infrared port r u guys using? im having a desktop, therefore i rely on an external infrared port but it is not compatible with the nokia pc suite. That means that software cannot detect my 3650 thru it.
Hope u guys can tell me the model and brandname of the external infrared port that you are using so that i can buy it.

All IR ports for PC's should work fine. But some drivers are really useless.
So it wont be easy to make those ones work.
I know this is not the right topic to ask the ques. but why would anyone buy 3650 over 7650 wht's the difference i think almost both the mobiles have same functions then y would one buy a 3650 instead 7650??
3650 is triband, has handsfree BT profile and has a place for MMC card.
7650 doesnt have any of those. But it looks nicer 😃
Hmm on esato forum i read somewhere tht if u transfer the files form ure comp to 3650 they get compressed? and a 70mb file becomes 2.8mb on the 3650??

Its because you have video compression where it converts it to the screensize/resolution of the phone; and also converts the audio so it becomes a nice little ".3gp" file. This sometimes compresses huegly (my 60meg Gettin Jiggy Wit It became 800kb) but also sometimes doesn't compress so much (my 38meg All the Things She Said became 1.8meg)~ Anyway its automatic (you can disable/re-enable it in PC Suite) when you do file transfers.

Hi, read the ModemSetup guide on Nokia.com. I had same problem, updated the IR driver as told, works fine now.
