keypad 2 constantly being pressed — Nokia N81 and Nokia N82

need help guys. i own a nokia n81. just love the phone.

lately ther is this big prob which is bothering me and i am not able to sort it out.

my keypad button '2' is being constantly pressed in the background. due to this my battery is getting drained. the backlight doesn't seem to go off. i cant text nor dial the number 2... sometimes when the keypad is not locked, '2' appears multiple times on the home screen..

is this hardware prob or software problem?

i tried formatting my phone (hard and soft reset).. to do tat i need the secure code which is 12345 by default... since my '2' key is not working, i am not able to do that...

please help me out guys.. i will be very grateful to u..

I think it is a hardware problem . You could try a Contact Spray .
The "Vulcan Death Grip" is a alternative Hardreset . It will delete ALL your personal data from the device . Except for the memorycard . No need for securitycode though . You will be asked for PIN code BTW . See my post here :

@ jApi NL: thanks a lot buddy. will try the spray once.. but before tat i will do this vulcan death grip reset. i dont care if my data is erased, i have backup of evrythin.. all i need is the phone to get fixed..
