text message problem — Nokia Nseries S60 3.2 Phones (Nokia N78, N79, N85, N86 and N96)

hi all, i got the following problem. whenever i receive a text message from my service provider, for example when they notify me that I have a missed call (becuase my phone was off) my Nokia N96 automatically resets itself.

When I get a message from any other sender i have no problems. when my provider send one, my phone rings for a second then stops, then the keyboard light go out and finally the phone resets itself. Its like these message trigger some sort of quick restart of my phone.

when the one is back to normal (after it restarted) i can see the messages properly. this is very strange. I called the company and they had no idea what the hell was this.

my phones is a Nokia n96, updated recently to version 30.033. Its RM-247.

any ideas?

Just a first thought . It seems like a SIM Card related issue , because it's just your provider provoking this . You could try this :
1) unsubscribe from the remembering service
2) ask for a SIM Card replacement : a new card might work well
BTW : you also could leave the phone on all the time . If necessary changing the profile to "Silent" when needed . Or get an automatic Profile Changer . I think the one from DrJukka is found in OVI store .

the sim card isn't the problem. i tried with another simcard and the problem is still there.
