Nokia get tweety with USA customers

With Nokia getting criticised every year for failing to put serious investment into the USA, a single Twitter account isn't exactly going to reverse this overnight, but it's good to see regardless. There's now an official 'Nokia US Care' Twitter account for people to hit up for updates and to fire questions at. Early days, obviously, but personal contact like this really can't do any harm...

Added corrected URL: http://twitter.com/NokiaCareUS

I have already contacted them about issues with my 5800 NAM model. (no v50 yet in US)
Will see what they can do about it.

Here's a radical new idea if Nokia wants to sell handsets in the U.S.

Now, it's a bit 'out there', so stay with me on this....okay, okay, how about: they make products available at electronics retail stores where customers can actually hold each device and give it a whirl.

Yeah, crazy, I know, but maybe just crazy enough to work.

What's a Twitter account going to do? "Hey U.S. Nokia fans, our latest phone, which isn't available here now, but may be in a couple of months, only sight unseen from Amazon.com, will be available, um, sometime soon, but we'll get back to you, unless we push the date out some more..."

Hey that account you linked to doesn't exist. Did they take it down already ?

Yeah, they changed their Twitter id today, stupid people, didn't think much before
creating the id.

Now they changed it to NokiaCareUS from NokiaUSCare.
The new name is better definitely.
