No bbc iplayer in v22 firmware

That's where I downloaded mine from.

I don't see an option to download and install.

Could be something to do with the fact that iPlayer on this phone is no longer a standalone widget - it runs from within the Web application.

I followed the instructions on my N97 Mini's iPlayer widget to download the new version and I still have an icon but it opens Web instead. Doesn't seem as elegant but it works fine and takes up virtually no space on your disk C: as it's not such a huge application anymore.
