That seems all well and good, but I'm sensing a problem caused by a lack of firmware's to install to the devices. Where would one find it?

just copy it from your Z drive and share ...

If I had one I would completely alter my firmware 😃

Firmware is no problem, you can personaly download all mcu+ppm flash files from www.freegsm.biz. Just sign up for a user name and password for free.

I thought he was saying "BAD" because he didn't like our product. By the way, you can also upgrade your 7650 and 3650 with this equipment

Are these legitimate firmware downloads, or ones supplied to Nokia to Service Centres? This is dangerously close to illegal software. Can you maybe put my mind at rest and explain why you're not encouraging illegal software and firmwares?

As you correctly mention, nokia flash files are for internal use only, and supplied exclusivey to nokia official service centres. Therefore we do not supply them with our devide. It is the buyer's responsability to obtain the files he needs.

We have no direct comercial relationship with www.freegsm.biz, and limit to inform on it's existence.

Our equipment as such is in full compliance to laws. The use of it varies from country to country.

I hope this answers your questions.

If we update our firmware, is that illegal 2?

With update I mean, I copy my firmware to my desktop, edit it and reflash it ...

The action of updating the firware cannot, by european law, be considered illegal. The modification of contents of the firmware, or particularly the imei, is another story. Also the storage of original nokia confidential flash files, strictly speaking, is also illegal, but so is driving over the speed limit, the worst thing that can happen to you is a fine. The main issues are imei changing of stolen or barred phones, which most countries have strong laws against. Our equipment neither encourages, supports, or even mentions this.

So effectively put, it's a tool to achieve a goal, it needent necessarilly be used to break the law, but it can be used illegally. In a similar manner that Rizzla's can be used to make ciggarettes or joints, a JCB can be used for digging or ram-raiding, a pocket can be used for storing items or stealing. Handy tool that could lead to a huge amount of modifications and extra skinning oppertunities, though unfortunately a tad too much money for my tastes.

Yeah I'm interested in the skinning possibilities.
Finally changing the 2 hands on startup 😉

There's Law, there's European Law, and then there's what Rafe wants on his site.

The Speed Limit issue is moot, and given the destruction one can cause with a 2 ton steel behemoth crashing into skin and bone, I don;t think it's approporiate either. You encourage the use of illegal software, with a handy legal clause so you can wash your hands of it. Personally I don't like using that thin edge of the wedge to make money with.

But perhaps you can clear something up and make the moderators decision easier.

Explicitly yes or no, can your tool be used to change the IMEI on a phone?

Good, Bad, I`m confused also. I love it!

Is great. It is the first time when I can change the startup image 😃

Is up to admin to decide. I would say not!

Personally I see it as a very expensive tool for some extra skinning abilities, and possibly the chance to upgrade the firmware on my 9210. Actually it's too expensive for any of it's uses to be worth buying unless you run a shop that flashes phones to add extra functions like games and vibrators on the standard Nokia's.

No it can't it's just a flasher, now being a owner of said box I can says this.
