This is an open letter to everyone reading this forum.
[ It is not a solution, fix or ROM, just a DREAM, but as no person has (I think) stated it explicitly on this forum, well... I am!
I have owned the i8910 since June 2009. I am waiting, as not everyone is rich, for my contract to end (I also make a plea for contracts to be lowered to 12 months, maximum, 6 months even, in the interests of civil liberty, and re-price the handsets accordingly (thereby saving the planet a bit too, perhaps). ]
S*msung (or, perhaps, fellow volunteers (I do not personally have the expertise)),
To take advantage, finally, of the (still) great hardware within the i8910 handset, why not explicitly place a development team onto providing an OFFICIAL Android 2.2 release, or, given I cannot see many serious rumours, a 3.0 gingerbread update?
What do people think? Perhaps I am the only person still looking at this forum?
Flame me, point links at me telling me it's already been done, or... hell! - tell me even to buy an iPhone 4 🙄
