Nokia today announced that it plans to acquire Motally Inc., a privately held US company, which provides analytics services for mobile website and applications. In addition to basic tracking and demographic reporting, Motally's main products offers the ability to track user behaviour within applications.

I get why Nokia bought them, but the transition might prove tricky.
The company as of now supports only Android, iPhone and RIM, not a surprise as they're based in San Francisco. So they basically have to now port their platform over to Symbian/Meego, correct?
Another challenge is that when one giant company, like Nokia, buys a smaller company with intellectual property, the risk is that the more valuable employees bolt to other firms or start-ups, thereby diluting the value. It happened when Microsoft bought Danger, and is now happening to HP/Palm.
