Problems with multiple e-mail accounts

Am I the only 1 experiencing this problem?

I have two pop3 e-mail accounts, and they both work perfectly when I try to "get&send" them individually.

BUT: If I want my p800 to automatically check my e-mail accounts using the "schedule" option (control panel -> connections -> messaging accounts -> edit account -> inbox) it doesn't work!!

For some reason, my p800 only wants to automatically check the e-mail account that I edited last - and just ignores the other account's settings!!!?
Both of them are set to use the preferred connection account.

Anybody got a good explanation/solution?

I see that people read my previous post but w/o replying.

Even if some of you outthere can't come up with a solution/answer, maybe some of you can just CONFIRM that you are able to schedule automatic download (having 2 e-mail accounts)???

I would really appreciate it...

i have 3 pops but dont use scheduling until there is a "leave copy on server" in the p800 mailclient.

Yeah, I agree. I can't believe they didn't include this extremely basic option! My old Nokia 9110 has is.

Could I ask you - just for test purposes - to test the schedule function by sending a handful of e-mail to yourself and temporarily activate scheduling?

THAT would be highly appreciated.......

Contour, same here. It won't check all the accounts, only one of them.

I don't allow it to get/send automatically though, as i rely on sms notifications from my service proivder. when i find there is an email that i need to check urgently, then i check the mail. So it might be worth looking into sms services

Thanks a LOT Fais! Nice to get it confirmed. SMS notification is ok but its not what I wanted..

I hope SE will fix what seems to be an obvious bug to me!

SE?

The e-mails are always left on the server. They are only removed if you delete the message after downloading. 😃

John.

Contour, I also have the same problem. My work-around is to have my most important account use scheduled downloads and then I manually Get&Send once a day on my other account.

Hi there

Sort of got the same thing.
I have 3 emailaccount configured, one of them should check thrice a day, one of them only once a day and one just on demand. Indeed the last edited automagic check is executed for both automagic check accounts. Quite annoying. 😞
