I recently acquired a faulty n97. The problem is it sometimes powers on. I have to hold the phone tight to turn it on. Do you think the problem is in the main board? I have taken the phone apart and looked into it but i can't see what wrong. Can you guys help? Thanks

battery issues, perhaps? or battery contacts, loose battery, etc.
You can check the contacts on the batteries. If there is any dirt on them, you can wipe them off by rubbing them with an eraser.
