very pleased with N97 mini

just got a new N97 mini
I have been away from Nokia for a while!
I had an iphone 4 and then a Samsung Galaxy S. Both great phones but I needed a real keyboard and didn't need the browsing anymore as I carry around an ipad now.

I am very impressed with:
1. quality of construction
2. keyboard
3. responsiveness (it updated to firmware v12 when I first plugged into my PC)
4. high music quality (sennhesier headphones)
5. Fun OS
6. Quite alot of applications.
7. very high quality phone call sound

I think an iphone or Android phone is great if you only want one thing to browse and to make occasional calls. But if you want a keyboard and a small well made reliable device, and like me you have another way to browse the internet which means you don't really need this capability on the phone (although the browser on the N97 mini is fine for occasional use, seems to get all the websites I need), the N97 mini has got to be the top device at the moment.

very impressed

Good know there are still users who find the N97 mini or N97 to be good phones. I am please with my N97, a year later. It works well for my needs and with SPB Shell it gives a new experience and a good feel. Perhaps Nokia should consider some features from SPB Shell.

Now go try Samsung Galaxy or a top notch Android phone and be amazed as to how much better phones can be comparing to N97 Mini...

I think you'll find if you read the thread that the opening poster has already had a Galaxy S.

I just don't get why some people feel that their choice of phone has to be the best choice for everybody...

Glad you are pleased with your new phone. I like the Nokia N97 as it feel solid, the keyboard is great and with the SPB Mobile Shell, it's very nice to use. I've had problems with it, i'm not going to lie but after a few updates, it's pretty good to use now. 😊

As xerxes says, its always good to read the original post MonarchX

And its always horses for courses. Im sure the ipad fucntions better for colonels needs than the iphone did.... based upon the fact, he/she said it. 😉
