E65 Keypad issue

Hi I'm new here and not too sure if this is the right sub-forum.

My issue here is that whenever my phone is on, numbers are randomly being "pressed", the phone just sits there and the numbers are just appearing, it also dials out without me even doing anything.

I've updated to the latest firmware hoping this will solve it but to no avail.

Is this a keypad issue or a motherboard issue? Plz let me know so I can buy the relevant replacement parts.

Thank you

It's hard to tell from distant . It could be :
1) keyboard or wiring shortcut issue : was the phone drowned with water before ? What happens when you set the keylock ?
2) some weird software installed ? Check Application Manager for suspected software .
3) a Firmware update is allso a hard reset . Does it also happen , when no other (third party) software is installed ?

When 2) and 3) can be excluded , it's probably 1)

😊 Regards jApi NL

Nope, phone never drown, when the keypad is locked SOMETIMES, it looks like it's trying to do something. Other times it behaves itself.

For the whole day today it worked excellent until a few hrs ago where it started up again, set the keylock and it's fine.

No third party software installed
