Maps 3.06 beta

I thought I'd have a play with this, but may have done the wrong thing.

Because of the lack of space on the C: drive from running 3.04, I deleted the maps app.

Ran the installer, which appeared to complete ok and indeed, on checking installed apps, I could see the pre-release entry.

Running maps, however, fired up the 3.01 maps from the Z: drive.

What I've done for the moment is remove that entry.

In available updates, its offering me an OTA update, presumably of 3.04.

Should I re-install that first and then apply the 3.06 installer without deleting 3.04?

At the moment, battery is on charge, but I'll try the above unless anyone has other words of wisdom.

I just uninstalled v3.04 and reinstalled v3.06. I tried installing it over the old one at first but there wasn't enough space (even though I had 20Mb free on C:\ ).

Try installing v3.06 again. If it's really on there already it should just overwrite it.

Did that. It worked this time. Goodness knows what failed yesterday - it could be an item I found in "Items to install" was just using up the necessary space. I deleted that before installing.

I'll download the maps and voice guidance files this evening.

Cheers.

There are a lot of new services on it. I'll try and give it a whirl next week when I find I'm out and about rather more than usual.
