Just a quick question.
At work I like to have my P800 on my desk but we are not supposed to have our mobile phones ringing during office hours.

Is there any way I can still have my text/MMS/email alerts sounding out loud with the phones ringtone on silent???
The only way I can think of is to have all phone numbers set to default ring tone and then set the default ring tone as a silent one when you are in the office (or maybe even a short click, so you can hear it but it's doesn't disturb others).
We have a similar thing but it has to be a normal "ring" tone, so I just have that set as default and the default set for everyone.
I did think of that yeah but i'd miss my different ring tones for different people!
How do you change your default melody?
If you go into Preferences then Sounds and Alerts, against Ring (voice) you have a default melody option? what does this refer to???
Yep, that's the one. If you then go into a contact and select "Default" from the ring tone drop down list, that's what you'll get.
So by setting everyone to that, all you need to do when you get to work is go to Preferences -> Sounds and Alerts and change the default voice ring tone to a silent Wav or midi.
But yeah, losing your custom ring tones is a pain.
