Created the Symbian^3 forum. Thanks for the nudges from various people.

At the moment I've just made a single forum, but it is, of course, possible to extend this out if necessary. However given the software similarities between devices I don't think it is really necessary to have separate forums for each phone or category of phones as has been the case in the past.

More forum announcements to come shortly.

One is probably enough, given that Nokia seems to be the only company making Symbian^3 phones, and so far they seem to essentially be the same phone in different enclosures and minor component variations.

Could you add this S^3 to the Forum Drop down Menu?

Its no biggie but it makes finding it quicker.

Please Rafe, let me know as I am in a fix!
Nokia N8 have TV output, but only for HD through separate HDMI port. Does it support connecting a normal TV as well through its headphone jack like Nokia N95? If yes, can I use AV out cable of my Nokia N95 with Nokia N8 by inserting it in its headphone jack and connect a normal TV to it?

hi I'm loking for some help as Nokia have not assisted so far, sorry if this is not the right place

not sure if this an N8 issue or not... just got mine & installed ovi suite 3.0.0.284 from ovi store. whenever I open the application or plug in the phone, ovi suite is greyed out, then 'colours' & looks active - eventually - then I get a message 'not responding'. I have to close & have tried this many times, also uninstalled & reinstalled, cleaned out all registry items & started again - but no success

consequently I cannot update the maps or sync, or anything, so very frustrating - any help thoughts or guidance would be extremely welcome

Nokia Symbian device comes with an integrated file manager, that allows to easily do file operations. We can sort files, move them around, order them. We can play auto slideshow as well.
BUT my question and need is that I want to slide pictures forward and backward on my own without going back to folder (Just like Windows and Andriod phones).
I have Nokia 700 touch screen phone. I want to go into particular folder and after opening on picture I want to slide next picture without going back into folder.

Can someone guide any application which may support this.

everybody help me please, i want help about flashing of my phone, i try to flash with jaf and phoenix. I put all packages needet for flash but with jaf, when the statys say "searching for phone. press power button" i pres the power button but pc does not connect to phone and then is a message "phone not found" and with phoenix same problem, everything is good but to flash the firmware program or pc does not has enough power to connect with phone... what can i do please??? does a better laptop can connect to phone?

I have my c6-01 and i love it...though it is not comparable to android..but when I had purchased at that time it was an awesome phone..
