N97 Mini Keyboard

Hey all,

So I keep hearing about everybody trying out Swype for Symbian ^1 on their N97's and N97 Minis. But I don't understand how this is possible. (Pardon my ignorance here). I bought the N97 Mini about a month back and I don't notice a virtual QWERTY either in portrait or landscape mode. So how is it that people are able to use swype on their phones? Is there a way to enable the virtual QWERTY that I'm missing?

Thanks!

You'll be happy to know that Swype isn't just an extension of a pre-existing virtual keyboard. It is a virtual keyboard. When you install it, simply restart your phone and then bring up any app on your phone that requires some sort of text input (by starting a text message or note).

You'll also be glad to hear that if you have the Swype input up on the screen and then open your N97, Swype disappears automatically.
