Ah, but has anyone come up with a way to edit SMSs from your PC, or to move a draft SMS to My Folders?
To type SMS from your computer, I know about Remote S60, but I've given up on getting it to work reliably with my bluetooth, as I've only ever gotten it work after repeatedly trying over and over again. I only manage to get it to connect accidentally every now and then.
What I'm looking for is a way to type an SMS, but store it in My Folders without sending it.
At the moment, the only workaround I've found is to type an SMS, send it to someone, and move it from Sent to a Folder.
Anyone have any ideas?
Hi Snorbaard
Go to messaging/myfolders/templates/
then options/new template
Or you can just write them as a 'note' and save them - then later you can open the note and select send as SMS.
As for SMS on a PC, not sure - never tried.
Hi Nokia 7650
Did your ringtone originally come from a CD?
In which case it's probably flagged as 'read only'
What error message do you see when you try to delete? is it 'delete failed'
Get a filemanager proggy - either phone or PC based, a demo one will do. Select the file - select properties and untick 'read only'. You should now be able to delete it.
Best 😊

Thanks Willbrady..
I managed to post this on two threads at the same time. Totally offtopic on this one.. 😮ops:
Helo willbrady,
Yup that the error i got when i try to delete the ringtone. The ringtone is not original from the cd. I am trying to do what u recommending.
Btw what is filemanager proggy? And demo for pc based or phone? Err.....i am kinda lost here. The filemanager is a software right and like u want me to download the demo/trial version that is suficient to work on my problem.
Got new question to ask 😃 How do u differentiate whether the phone is brand new or second hand? Like when u buy a new phone, is there anyway we can know whether the phone is new or old? Coz nowadays the phone shop got those trade-in option when u buy a new phone. Then like what happen to the old phone that been trade-in? i think they resell it with a new casing and looks so that it look brand new!
Plz help and thanks willbrady
Hi
Filemanager software you can find by clicking the big banner at the top of this page 😉
What it does is show you ALL the files on your phone and allow you to manipulate them in more ways that the phone currently does.
You must be carefull as it also can show you your system files which you don't want to be changing or deleting unless you know what you are doing else you will screw your phone up!
Look for a program called efilemanager or Seleq, a trial version will work for the small task you want, but once you have used it you will probably want to buy it anyway 😊
When you run it it will show you all your files like you would see them on a PC, navigate your way to your ringtone, it will be in c:/nokia/sounds/digital
Select it - press the left soft key and find the option for file properties, you should see that it is flagged as 'read only' - uncheck that - then you sould be able to delete it.
Best 😊

It depends on the banner add showing 😃
Just go to www.handago.com

Try to find fexplorer, it is freeware anyway.

Or it could be in c:/system/sounds/digital
Hope that helps
If the ringtone has an extension of *.midi your 7650 will play it, but the recorder application won't pick it up to be played or deleted. Use fexplorer by domi and rename files in c:\system\sounds\digital\ to a *.mid file. You wil then be able to delete file with recorder.
I try the search for the Fexplorer but no luck with it in www.handango.com
Errr..the fexplorer and the filemanager proggy is 2 different software right? or the fexplorer is some kind of option inside the filemanager.
Btw, is it true that the 7650i is coming out or just a fake rumour?
Thanks guyz for ur reply
Sorry I forgot Handago don't carry fexplorer which is a different program, try here instead:-

The 7650i has been debated many times on this site, it keeps cropping up, but there has been no conclusive proof each time, so many of the hardened veterans of the mobile world have deduced it as a rumour.
I personally don't think Nokia want to admit to it being a mistake to launch the 7650 without Bluetooth audio and not a very large memory capacity. Which they would be doing if they launch an improved version.
Instead they have called it another model name and changed the casing with a horrible keypad configuration.
