Hi,
Just today i copied some MP3 songs on my p800. Problem is this, playlist is not displaying their names although there exist empy/blank entries in list and even i can play them! Before this, i had couple of MP3 songs copied to my p800 and they were fine.
Any ideas?

Hiya. I've noticed something similar - there are two fields on the P800 track list, one is the filename and can be changed, one is the track name and apparently cannot be. I think how it works is that the track name is encoded in the MP3 file so can't be altered. What are you using to rip the MP3's? I think (but can't prove) that if your ripper knows the album name and the track titles (e.g. through CDDB, as Windows Media Player uses), it will encode the relevant info into the file.
Any MP3 experts out there want to set us straight?

Tom is right. MP3 knows the album name / artist / track via it's ID3 tagging. And the P800 displays this data.
You can either put this on (automatically via CDDB or manually) when ripping, or via a Freeware Tag editor which are readily available.
I suspect that the player reads the track name in the ID3 tag from the mp3 file as the file name to be displayed in the playlist
