software problems N95 8GB

Hi again everyone I have at last managed to find someone to debrand my N95 8GB and when I got home with it I decided to make sure it has all the latest Nokia software ,maps etc. So I connected up to the Nokia Ovi suite and I am having problems already, I decided to go with the maps first, I selected all, so set myself up for a wait but it has been going for 3 hrs now and no progress bar or anything to indicate it is doing what it should. On the bottom left of the page on the computer monitor it is displaying a picture of my phone and to the right of that it has a dotted spinning circle and next to the spinning circle it says setting up and to the far right of the centre of the page it says connecting to map server and under that please wait while retrieving the available map and voice guidance files and we are now at nearly 4hrs. What am I doing wrong and will I do any harm if I disconnect Many thanks Chris
