I was one of those that thot I wouldn't bother with a case or screen protector because of the scratch resist gorilla glass and Anodized Al.

Sorry about your scratches! The first day I got my N8, i dropped it on my glass computer table and it scratched. I usually get full body invisible shield and a case for when it drops. Treating This one like a baby til my shield comes!

None of my phones have ever been protected by a case. They get scratched, chipped, worn, and still function perfectly. They've been dropped on concrete, marble, in mud, snow...

I'll get an N8 when the new firmware/browser is available and that will not be mollycoddled either.

There was all the fuss from nokia about the scratch resistivity of the N8`s shell but it turns out to be twaddle! all the edges around the camera are scratched the back of the case - only had it a month, god help it after 6 months or a drop!

I always buy a decent case for my devices - since I buy them outright.
1. its cheap insurance
2. it will increase the resale value of your device

YMMV ..

Case is still recommended since the darn phone is so slippery without one.. 😞

Go the Zagg!
