C7 music player not reading id3 tags

I'm transferring music to my C7 in Linux with the device in mass storage mode. Unfortunately the music player doesn't read id3 tags from my songs. I've tried opening the files wit several music players and id3 tag editors and they all detected the tags correctly. In fact when play the music by opening it though the file manager it loads the id3 tags probably.

I've tried searching but couldn't find any info on this problem.

Some of the music only got v2 tags, but most of it got both. Also the when I play the music through the file manager it probably displays artist and title of all the music.

I ran into a problem with some of my albums after loading them on my N8, found this thread thanks to Google. All of the affected albums looked fine in PC media players, and I checked the tags in Kid3 (good Linux id3 tagger) and they all looked ok. For anyone else Googling this, here's how I wound up solving the problem.

1. Plugged my phone into my PC, loaded up the album in kid3.
2. Deleted all of the tags on every song on the album, saved it.
3. Disconnected my phone and refreshed my music library.
4. Plugged my phone back into my PC, opened the album up again in kid3.
5. Retagged the song with just the basic tags (album, artist, title, track number), then saved.
6. Disconnected my phone and refreshed my music library.

My guess is that one of the special tags in id3v2 was breaking things, but I don't have the patience to go through and test which one was the problem. Retagging it with only the information that it's actually going to use seemed to work, so that's what I'd recommend.
