Hi everybody!
I just received a 128 MB mmc Kodak.
When I put in the phone, I saw that phone says it has 122 Mb.
WHO STOLE ME 6 Mb? 😃 😃
Seriously: why phone shows 122 Mb if it's a 128 Mb?
Thanks for your answers.
Ciao

Hi
I have a similar problem. My 64MB card reads as 61MB, so i've lost 3MB (which is consistent with you losing 6MB on a card double the size).
I guess the phone just uses the space for it's file reference table or something (similar to HDD's in computers). Someone correct me if i'm talking rubbish.
nope thats correct :smilecolros: 😮lympic:
yea sounds good, i hav a 20gb in my pc physically but machine (well windows) says it 19gb lol
UNLESS iv been conned llmao
joking
sorry i 4got to ask is ur 128mb card working just as well as the original 16mb apart from u hav more room ne drawbacks errors or nething?? and wot u hav 2 do jus take out ur old one and put the 128 one in? did u hav 2 configure nething?
thnks in advance
Its what happens whem memory is formated you lose space and memory ie. my 120gb hard drive is only 111gb usable.

I have a Lexmar 128MB card, and it works great. Just inserted it, did a format, and since then no problems! 😃

yup, ya beat me to it.. :P
this is very probably due to the usual "rounding" problems with bytes kilobytes etc.
the same goes with PC hard disks
i.e. the producer says "128 MB" ... that is: 128 x 1000 KB (1000 x 1000 Bytes)
instead windows (or the phone) sees them as multiples of 1024... that is:
128000000 bytes / 1024 = 125000 Kbytes / 1024 = 122,07 Megabytes
hope this helps 😉
Thanks everybody...
wot u mean by inserted it and then FORMATTED IT?
how u do tht wot does it do?

I Agree with you. But can you tell why thew call 128Mt to 128Mt if it is 122Mt for real.
