PGP for P800

Is PGP signing / encryption available for the P800 ?
I need to be able to sign / varify and occasionally encrypt / decrypt emails.
If so where / how ?
It would be cool to be able to encrypt sms also 😃

Nigel.

No, sorry, I have not found the answer to this one yet.
If anyone has any new idea, please let us know.

Thanks.
Legin.

You can already get a PGP for the Symbian OS - and it's freeware so won't cost you a cent. However, it's a port of PGP v2.6.3i for the Nokia 9200 series of phones. I'm not sure how exactly compatible this will be with the version of Symbian that the Sony-Ericsson P800 uses. Whatever, here's the weblink giving more info:-

If you can get PGP to install and run on the P800, please let use know. I'm sure that plenty of people would be interested.

Well, I tried Zenobyte's port of PGP on a Sony Ericsson P800. Unfortunately it wouldn't install on the P800 because it's completely incompatible. End of story...

Have you looked at gpgp gnupg.org it's open source. You could probably port it with the p800 development kit easily... I would ask around there mailing lists... you might find someone has usefull input

You might be interested in an application I put up on Sourceforge.net. See there: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpgp/

It provides decrypting/encrypting of text and files, so you are able to copy and paste your PGP-encrypted text from/to emails/sms/whatever.

Sorry, no signing/verifying available. But it's opensource and you are free to contribute to my project 😊
