Got it sometime last week!
Not much difference - think a slight speed increase, search widget was affected (don't know how) the bug where the screen stays on after activating keylock is still there tho

monty u need to let your n8 settle down before touching it after a reboot

i used to have the same problem but when you reboot the phone let it do its thing for like 30 seconds or so instead of trying to do things when its still loading this will make your backlight and keylock work as it should

the n8 reads the memory card and loads lots of data at boot it seems by working the phone before ready it enables this bug

Sure, its a bug, but its hardly one that should by high on their list of priorities.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that another Apps update, i.e. "Apps update 1.0" following on from the original "Phone apps update" from late October?

PR1.1 certainly hasn't been released yet, according to most online reports it's due out "soon".

quality assurance pr1.1 is avalible if you know where to look mate

it is v 13.15 and a scandanavian release

could be the final build as well as we are very close to it so id think it is a final build there have been alot of beta firmwares for the n8

iam running v13.15 if you have any questions feel free to ask

its basically a maintinence release wich fixes some things under the hood ie speed in places , smoother kinetic scrolling etc etc

not much is visual to the end user apart from a few subtle changes like new wifi icon and music player standby theme has some new graphic details by the time and date

it doesnt include any of the ui/os changes like new web browser or split txt entry or portrait qwerty this is all for pr2.0

so basically pr1.1 will bring a faster more stable n8 and symbian 3 and pr2.0 will bring the new features etc

hope that helps a bit also the app update you talk of is aleady built into this pr1.1 but the video update just came isnt built into it nor the dab radio update mate

sorry but i dont get this bug at all unless i try and do things on the n8 as soon as its turnt on if i leave it for like 2-5 seconds all is fine so it probably isnt high on nokias bug list as it doesnt seem to be effecting all n8s mate
