would you trust this to work in the phone? is it even possible this could be same size? anyone tried buying a bigger capacity battery for the phone, would love to get even better battery life!
i would be very wary of these sorts of batteries. thied party batteries can give you all sorts of grief

Almost looks too good to be true, which unfortunately with ebay, is often the case. Might get one and try it in my wifes old N97 mini first to see how it performs.:hmmmm:

I have bought a lot of third-party batteries through the years and have never found one that performs as well as an original Nokia battery, that goes for day to day use and lifespan.
Regardless of the claims of the seller, I would only buy a third-party battery as an emergency backup, not for general use.
these are still selling on Ebay and just wondered whether to get one for my c6-01.
yeah, always a bit suspect on ebay with batteries... so many people have been 'stung' and you just don't know if they are going to self combust ion your pocket! 😉
The only other battery that I would trust is Mugen Batteries. They only have a 1200mAh though for the N8 which is the same as the standard battery and have said they wont be doing an extended cell. I've had these in a couple of handsets, not just Nokias, and they've been good and currently using a high capacity with an Xperia PLAY and its a great increase in life.
I wouldnt have thought you would see much more life from a 1930mAh though anyway... maybe a couple of hours.
Lithium-ion battery technology progresses very slowly, gaining only a few percent capacity each year, even with huge R+D investment. So how is it that an ebay seller has found some batteries that magically have 60% more capacity than Nokia's in the same size package, and for half the price?
As always, if it looks too good to be true then it probably is.
Nokia already use the best battery technology available (perhaps super-expensive space-age stuff excepted) so there is no chance these batteries will have a rated capacity of 1930mAh.
It's just fraud and you should be surprised if they even have 1200mAh

Nope! That's not completely true! Nokia do use Lithium ion technology, but the best at the moment is Lithium-polymer which has 25% more capacity fir the same size battery than Lithium ion.
Lithium Polymer is currently the battery used in the iPhone4 and the SGS2.
Now imagine if the N8 had lithium polymer battery, it'll last for ages!!
Nokia has used Li-Po batteries in phones for many years now. Not sure if that's the case for all models, or specifically the N8, but even so.
Yes I'm aware of this but certainly in the first breed of S^3 handsets, they chose to use Lithium Ion.
Hope they can release same size Lithium polymer equivalent (more capacity) for the N8 so that those with the know how can change batteries.
