looking for smartest option

0 replies · 3,700 views · Started 02 February 2011

since 2010 i begun my quest for finding the smartphone that is also smart phone and smartest of all.

Before I made my statement I would like to confess that I went trough all 'smart'phone options but all scored low when future roadmap for 2011 was announced;

Won't point at each brand specific options but overall my choice is a winner on following criterias:

Photo quality and recordings of my precious daily moments
Video quality
Battery life
GUI functionality (graphic user interphace)
Proved Brand product life (all my previous phones since 2001 still functional)
Brand awarness
Design
Innovation and new technology recognised as trend setter

Next smartphones lineups may include up to 1.5 GH processors, 1Gb ram, 4.5'' display or 64Gb internal memory... Still those are far away, still unproved as reliable or.... Too volatile in terms of product life.

Who invest +500 Eur in a device that in 6 months is allready replaced by an upgraded model that despite technical specs improves nothing? Surely not me

I accept all competitor feature advantages from a business user point of view like various apps for all demands or push e-mails with advantage of qwerty keyboard or fast processors and memory that can cope with various apps and multitasks...

Still my smartest phone will allow me to:
-capture daily photos and videos at best quality for next 12 months or so (now my e90 is still better in photos than any BB or IPh)
_Enjoy Best Display on the market
-check mails and edit my attachmets or save them,
-have a online presence in social media chanels
-Listen to music and podcasts or watch youtube on my BH905 (i always hated Nokia for their i versions of product launched after my purchases)
-Keep my agenda sync with PC and organise meetings, tasks, todo's
-Make calls, answer them or chooose profiles that turns back after delimited time (thums up for Handy products and spb)
-Use my sd memory cards
-own a fancy and trendy reliable device

Upgrades will be still in Nokia product lineup as will be everywhere... i am ready to cope with my choice for next 12 months or so till the smartphones market developps and leave this incipient and imature stage.

You might have guessed>>> the winner is nokia N8.

I don't fully agrree with nokia software options from a business point of view and still consider series 80 and 9210 as one of the best busines phone experience but we must live in the present and hope that the present will give as the T3 (tomorrow's technology today)

Till 2011 xmas and 2012 new amazing devices the N8 is by far the best option and value for money product.

I'll keep you updated with my N8 experience...

P.S. I owned or own a large smartphones from various producers so i can say based on my experience Been There>>>Done That
Think again... What remains (or might remain) are the photos and videos of our very best moments at their maximum thrill on best quality, a confidence given by areliable product and the peace of mind that all is possible at a click away and you don't need an app for that.
